Asian shares lower on US-China trade fears

26 March 2018

Fears of a full-blown trade war between the United States and China hit Asian shares again today. U.S. President Donald Trump signed a memorandum last week. The agreement could impose tariffs on up to $60 billion of imports from China.

Japan's Nikkei stumbled 0.9 percent to a near six-month trough in early trade. South Korea, Hong Kong and Australia are also among the nations affected by this economic crisis.
