8 January 2018

British village rivals battled in mud in a traditional rugby-style game known as "Haxey Hood" on Saturday. This sporting event was hosted every January since the early 1800s. It begins with the time-honoured ritual in front of the Haxey Hood parish church. "Haxey Hood" is played between the two local villages of Haxey and Westwoodside in northern England.
