China sends consulate staff to help in search of missing Chinese tourists from Thailand boat accident

The Chinese Consulate in Thailand has send officials to help in search and rescue of missing tourists, following a boat that capsized on Thursday off the coast of Phuket. One Chinese tourist died and 56 other people remained missing after the tourist boat sank in turbulent waters, according to Thai officials on Friday. A search and rescue operation by Thai authorities is ongoing with navy divers at the site of the sinking. The boat was carrying 105 passengers, mostly Chinese tourists.
