Cholera death toll rises to 1,054 in Yemen: new figures

The Yemeni public health authorities are alarming the international community with the latest casualty figures: 1,054 deaths and over 151,000 cases of infection since the outbreak of cholera on April 27 in the country. Cholera has so far spread to 20 of the country's 22 governorates or provinces, according to the Saba news agency which carried a statement of the Yemeni public health authorities on Saturday.
