Doctors in Vietnam remove scissors from man's stomach after 18 years

Doctors in Vietnam remove a pair of scissors from a man stomach, where they had been forgotten about for 18 years following an operation. An ultrasound test last month at the hospital, where 54-year-old Ma Van Nhat had gone for treatment following a road accident, revealed a sharp object lodged in one side of his abdomen. He was successfully operated on last Saturday at the hospital. Reports of medical mistakes are not uncommon in Vietnam.
