The Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Republic of Korea on Saturday exchanged a finalized list of family reunion participants who have been separated since the 1950-53 Korean War ended with armistice. Each country will allow about 100 separated family members to participate in the reunion from August 20 to 26 at a resort in the DPRK.
The reunion event will be the first of its kind since October 2015. It is part of the efforts to implement the Panmunjom Declaration signed by South Korean President Moon Jae-in and top DPRK leader Kim Jong Un during the first summit meeting on April 27 at Panmunjom.
