Edgley breaks longest staged sea swim world record

15 August 2018

Swimmer Ross Edgley broke the world record for the longest staged sea swim on Tuesday. He completed 74 days in the sea as he attempts to swim around Britain. The record needs to be verified by the Open Water Swimming authorities.

Swimmer, ROSS EDGLEY said  "The night swims are horrible, I'm not even going to sugarcoat it. That period when I put on the cold clammy wetsuit and I have to walk all the way down the net and then sort of just dip my toe in the water, that is the longest three metre walk I've ever made in my life."

He swims for six hours at a time with six hour rests.
