Efforts For Development: MoU To Help Women & Young Entrepreneurs Enhance Capacity

Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection and Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding on development of young entrepreneurs.

The MoU signed on Saturday in Yangon is to help women and young entrepreneurs enhance capacity to be efficient entrepreneurs, the Directorate’s Director General said.

Director General, Directorate of Industrial Supervision & Inspection, Aye Aye Win said “We will cooperate with the Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs Association on ASEAN Programmes while helping women and young entrepreneurs enhance capacity under the MoU.”

The Directorate and the Association will also draw a Small and Medium Enterprise policies which can bring benefits both to Small and Medium and micro enterprises, Chairman of Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs Association said.

Chairman, Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs Association, Tun Tun Naing said “New policies will be drawn while the current policies will be revised within the first 3 months. After that, we will draw an action plan in a year. We will help the entrepreneurs have access to finance.”

About 62,000 small and medium enterprises have registered across the country - 60% of them are food processing business.
