Fans in Paris overjoyed after France wins second World Cup title

Millions of French fans were overwhelmed with joy on Sunday (July 15) as France beat Croatia 4-2 to win soccer's World Cup in a pulsating final in Moscow. The victory sparked ecstatic scenes of celebration in the fan zone set up just at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower. Some 90,000 people watched the match on vast TV screens with choruses of the Marseillaise and honking horns heard everywhere in the French capital. Fans were thrilled with the victory and praised French coach Didier Deschamps's strategy during the game. More than 250,000 people were expected to descend on the Champs Elysees and the Place de la Concorde.
