Industrial Technology: 3-Day Exhibition Held In Nay Pyi Taw

International Industrial Technology & Machinery show 2018 commenced on Friday.

Vice President U Henry Van Thio attended the opening ceremony held at MICC-2 in Nay Pyi Taw.

This event was hosted by Myanmar Engineering Society (MES) under the supervision of Ministry of Industry with the aim to development of Myanma industrial technology.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Ko Ko Lwin said “The purpose of this event is for our people to develop innovative and creative thinking by imitating the international technologies which they got to see at this event and get used of them. As technologies are always improving, to get practice of the new technology, I wish them to learn here.”

The event includes the Inventor Award which is for the youth to compete their innovative talents. There were 4 sectors for the competition – Open Level, Technological University Level, GTC Level and Technological high school, Industrial Training center level.

It will also include the workshop and seminar by the international experts on food production and consumer good technology.

Assistant General Manager, Ministry of Industry, Aung Zaw Nyunt said “We have mobile training for welding and usage of machinery systematically. The worker may already know how to weld but we mainly focus on welding safely to both welders and welding machines. This will be quite supportive.”

This is the 5th time of holding the international Industrial Technology & Machinery show in Myanmar. Over 70 showrooms are on display at the event which will be held until the 9th of September.
