Inspection: Vice President Visits National Landmark Garden In Nay Pyi Taw

Ethnic Affairs, Public Affairs Management and Service Committee Chairman Vice President U Henry Van Thio on Tuesday visited National Landmark Garden in Nay Pyi Taw. Concerned officials reported loss due to flood in the garden, joint state-private operation as well as upgrading and promotion matters.

The Vice President urged the officials to finds ways to prevent flood and to promote tourism by upgrading the garden. He also recommended making reports on reconstruction works and plans as well as upgrading. Afterwards, the Vice President and party looked around at the garden.

National Landmark Garden, opened in 2010, is about 400 acres wide and sits alongside the Yangon-Mandalay highway.
