Myanmar C.P Cup Final: Final Round Kicks Off At Thein Phyu Tennis Court

The Myanmar C.P Cup Final round kicked off at Thein Phyu Tennis Court in Yangon on Thursday. This 10-day long round includes Team or Inter-zone, Team Open Class and Individual Open Class competitions. The team competition allows only the best three teams each from 4 zones of the whole country to participate in. A total of 12 teams had to pass level competitions in their respective zones for this final round.

President, Myanmar Tennis Federation, Than Lwin said "We organize National championship, Myanmar open and monsoon competition in a year.  This Myanmar C.P Cup final had to spend over 16 million kyats, covering all expenses for the participants from 4 zones to come and compete here. Outstanding players will be selected to camp for national selection, too."

More than 100 players are competing in this Myanmar C.P cup final round.

Player, Bago Hintha Team, Than Naing said "We trained throughout the whole summer. We will try our best - we expect to grab a medal in this competition."

Player, Sagaing Mya Thanda Team, Aung Ko Htay said "We trained for 2 months. I have confidence in myself. I also trust my team mates."

The prize money ranges from 400,000 kyats to 800,000 kyats for Team or inter-zone and Team open class competitions - between 300,000 kyats and 500,000 kyats for individual open class competition. This Myanmar C.P Cup Final round will conclude on the 12th of May.
