Ogier wins Mexico rally to regain championship lead

12 March 2018

World champion Sebastien Ogier clinched the Mexico rally on Sunday. He started the final day in the lead and never looked in danger of losing his lead as he finished the rally over a minute ahead of second placed Dani Sordo. Kris Meeke came third despite losing valuable time when his vehicle flipped onto its side earlier in the day. The championship leader only managed sixth place at Mexico. The next rally in the championship will be held in the French island of Corsica from April 5-8. The rally is the 4th out of 13 rallies which determine the world 2018 championship.
