Peace Delegations: C-In-C Received Peace Delegations From China And Japan

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Mr. Sun Guoxiang, Special Envoy of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and Mr. Yohei SASAKAWA, Special Envoy of the Government of Japan for National Reconciliation in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Chairman of Nippon Foundation, separately at the Parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

At the meeting with Mr. Sun Guoxiang, they exchanged views on promotion of bilateral relations between the two armed forces of the two countries, endeavors of the Tatmadaw for the lasting peace and assistance of China for the internal peace process of Myanmar.

At the meeting with Mr. Yohei SASAKAWA, they cordially exchanged views on endeavours of the Tatmadaw to ensure the lasting peace in Myanmar, participation of Japan in the process and assistance for development of the regions which have restored peace, and its cooperation with the Tatmadaw in restoring internal peace.

Also present at the call were Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo, Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army).
