Brazilian firefighters found a skull, which might be the oldest human remains discovered in the Americas. At the same time, they brought under control the devastating fire that destroyed Brazil's prestigious National Museum on Tuesday. After the fire was brought under control, some staff members started to enter the museum to search for the remaining pieces of their collections.
Only 10 percent of the 20 million pieces of collections survived the fire, as the museum estimated. The Brazilian federal government has decided to allocate about 2.4 million U.S. dollars to help rebuild the museum.
