Ambassador, Embassy of Israel (Yangon), H.E. Daniel Zonshine said “We’ve shown 7 documentary films on Israel history but not on this subject. We wanted to show it to the people of Myanmar, something on the history of Israel, through the film of the first Prime Minister, founder of the Israel.”

The film revisits Ben-Gurion’s outlook and prophecy. The documentary film includes the footage of the conversation between Myanmar Prime Minister U Nu and David Ben-Gurion and his historic visit to Myanmar.

U Nu’s offer for bilateral negotiation with Israel and Myanmar was the first of the very few countries at that time. My Father, U Nu, went to Israel in 31st May 1955. The founder of Israel Ben-Gurion also came to Myanmar wearing Myanmar traditional clothing and the president welcomed him. My father was amazed by how rapid Israel improved in agriculture despite the fact that it hadn’t been long since its independence.”

The invited people from authorities, diplomats, friends from embassies and those people who are interested in Israel’s history attended the screening.
