From roll to runway, designers compete in the annual toilet paper wedding dress contest

21 June 2018

Contestants in the 14th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest rolled out their best designs in New York on Wednesday (June 20). Narrowed down from 1,500 submissions, the top ten dresses created by designers around the U.S. walked the runway at New York's bridal store, Kleinfeld. Wedding gowns were crafted with only toilet paper, tape, glue and thread. Grand prize winner, Ronaldo Cruz walked away with $10,000 (USD). This was his first win after five appearances.  Contestants were judged on originality, beauty, creativity and workmanship. The contest is held by Cheapchicweddings.com and Quilted Northern.
