Russia's Putin holds first official election campaign meeting in Moscow

11 January 2018

Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the first official meeting of his election campaign in Moscow yesterday.

Ahead of a meeting with his three campaign co-chairs, the Russian leader met young volunteers and wrote a message to the team on a large whiteboard. The general director of Russia's largest truck making company KAMAZ said he was reluctant to guess the percentage of support Putin would receive in the first round of the vote. He just preferred to focus on his candidate's victory.
