Myanmar Scout Association opened a 1-week Advanced Scout Training at No. (1) B.E.H.S. Lanmadaw on Wednesday.
The training aims to build up capacity of the scouts in recruiting, organizing, campaigning and disseminating skills.
Chief Scout, Myanmar Scouts Association, Tin Nyo said “The advanced training will help the scouts to sharpen leading and relation skills. So, the training is designed for those who can be leaders. This training can be said a preparation for a training to be conducted by the scouts from Asia Pacific Region in November this year.”
48 scouts from the states and regions joined this training – those scouts completed basic scout training conducted by the Myanmar Scout Association.
Kyaw Nyi Nyi Zin said “I like scout movement as it’s a cooperative social responsibility. I have experience of scout movement - Popa Trip is my very first experience. In this training, I hope I will learn more about scout movement, and how and what Myanmar scouts are doing, connecting with the foreign countries. I will share what I learn from the training with other young scouts.”
Myanmar Scout Association is reorganized in 2012 – there are now more than 26,000 members.
