Skilled Workers: National Level Skill Certificates Presented To 639 Workers

National Skills Standard Authority (NSSA) presented national level skill certificates to over 600 workers in Yangon on Saturday.

639 skilled workers were presented skilled workers certificates for 14 skill types while the certificate of recognition as assessment center to six assessment centers and assessor certificate to 27 assessors.

Union Minister for Labour, Immigration and Population U Thein Swe attended the ceremony held at the Central Training School (Thuwunna) in Yangon. The Union Minister urged the skilled workers who had achieved skill level (1) to strive towards achieving skills of the next levels.

He also stressed that the certified skilled workers are to use their skills in raising the productivity of the country and must strive toward achieving awards in regional skill competitions.

From April to September this year, 1,500 skilled workers were planned to be assessed for national skill level (1) and (2) for 19 skill types. Up to August, more than 1,600 were assessed and out of them, over 1,400 have passed the assessment.
