South Korean president Moon Jae-in unveiled the medals of upcoming Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in New York Wednesday, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly. Moon said that the country is safe to host the global event amid rising tensions over North Korea's nuclear weapons programs.
He also said that he expects North Korea to participate in the winter games "prove that they are not isolated in the world." Pyeongchang, the first Asian host of the Winter Olympics outside Japan, will stage the event on Feb 9 to 25.
