Swimming Competition: Over 200 Swimmers Joined The Event In Nay Pyi Taw

2018 States and Regions Swimming Competition took place at Wunna Theikdhi Swimming Pool in Nay Pyi Taw.

Over 200 swimmers from 15 States and Regions took part in the competition which aims to promote the swimming sports.

Chief Coach, Myanmar Swimming Federation, Thein Win said “Swimmers from 15 States and Regions take part in the competition. We organize this competition to turn out new generation swimmers and to promote the swimming sports. Over 200 swimmers compete in this event. There are 4 types of swimming events. The winners will be conducted camp training.”

The winners will be selected to undergo camp training under the federation.

Swimmer, Yangon Region, Win Hein Zaw said “I use to train at National Swimming Pool. We have been trained in the morning from 8:30 am to around 10 am. I compete in 50, 100 and 200 meter breaststroke and 100 meter for butterfly events. I have won prize in the National Sports Festival. Mandalay team will be my opponent. I’ll try my best to become a selection.”

The competition was held for two days from 21st to 22nd of June.
