Thousands of Bolivians march to support sea access

21 March 2018

Thousands of Bolivians came out to a "blue tide" rally yesterday. They were united to support Bolivia's quest for sea access currently before the International Court of Justice.

Bolivia lost its access to the Pacific Ocean in a late 19th century war with Chile. The display of patriotism aims to cheer on Bolivian legal team as oral arguments are underway as of yesterday. The "blue tide" movement will give Bolivia a corridor to the sea to boost its export economy.
