Victory In SEA Games: Women Football And Karatedo Teams Arrived Back

The victorious Myanmar women football team and Myanmar Karatedo players at 29th Sea Games in Malaysia arrived back in Yangon, Friday.
Myanmar women football team stood third place at the ongoing SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia. 

Assistant Coach, Myanmar women football team, Thet Thet Win said “We have prepared a lot by doing joint training in Japan and other trainings with foreign coach to compete in the SEA Games. Myanmar Football Federation also supports us. We just only grab bronze medal and next time we will try the best.”

Myanmar women football team played four matches in the round robin and won two and lost the rest.
The players hope to gain more wins in the future after reviewing the weaknesses.

Team Leader, Myanmar women football team, Win Thingyi Htun said “We competed with opponent teams firstly with Thailand, second with Malaysia, and thirdly with Vietnam and fourth with the Philippines. We have challenges and some weaknesses. So we are very sorry and also apology to the fans. I promised to try our best in coming AFF champion and other events.”
Myanmar Karatedo team also grabbed 4 bronzes in the SEA Games.

Bronze Medal Winner, Kumita (Karatedo Competition ), Myint Maung Maugn Hein said “Our team got 4 bronzes in individual and team level in this Sea Games. I have an international experience and got gold medals. I expected gold medal but I got bronze medal so I didn't satisfied by myself. We faced a lot of challenges but we tried the best.”
So far, Myanmar stood at 7 with 5-gold, 6-silver, and 11 bronzes totally in 22 medals.
