Winter storm pounds Boston with blizzard

5 January 2018

A powerful winter storm called "Bomb cyclone" brought heavy snow and strong winds to Boston, Massachusetts in U.S. northeast on Thursday. Forecasters said the fast-moving storm has the potential to be the most powerful one that some areas have seen in a mostly snow-free winter this year. The minimum temperature would reach minus 22 degrees Celsius. Local government later issued an alert to warn people to not drive out if there is nothing urgent.
