The upper part of the tail of crashed military transport plane Y-8 and some other parts were salvaged on Sunday, and search operation continued. A male body was recovered along with the debris – so far 92 bodies have been retrieved. The debris bearing Flight No.5820 was spotted on Thursday evening as deep as about 35 metres at a place of 260° west to and 7.5 miles from Dawei Myinkhwa Bay. The plane en route from the southern city of Myeik to Yangon lost contact after takeoff while flying at 5,485 meters over the Andaman Sea, about 43 miles west of the town of Dawei on June 7. It was carrying 122 passengers and 14 crew. The cause of the incident has yet to be confirmed.
