2023 Summer Davos Forum opens in north China's Tianjin

The 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the Summer Davos, opened on Tuesday in northern China's Tianjin City.

Themed "Entrepreneurship: The Driving Force of the Global Economy," the event will run from June 27 to 29. Chinese Premier Li Qiang addressed the opening of the forum, stressing solidarity and cooperation, and calling for openness and cooperation. Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab also delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

This year's event marks the first time the Summer Davos Forum is fully powered by green energy. About 1,500 participants from business, government, international organizations, and academia are attending the three-day event to offer insights into global economic development and potential in the post-pandemic era.
