8 Companies Submitted Tenders: Jetty to be constructed at Union National Races Village

A meeting of the Tender Committee for construction of a jetty and related projects at the Union National Races Village in Yangon was held on Thursday.

Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint discussed that the Union National Races Village was opened for the public to observe the traditional customs of national races in one place, to nurture the spirit to preserve and safeguard the traditional customs and to take relaxation in peaceful environ.

Efforts are being made for providing more interesting program for the people. The construction of jetty at the village aims to add a destination for river cruise by the local and foreign visitors via Yangon River and it could lead to increase incomes for the country.

The permission has been granted for budget allotment in 2022- 2023 fiscal year. He urged all strive for the emergence of the jetty that can use in a long run, meeting the set standard and timely completion of the construction works. 8 companies submitted tenders for the project, and the selection will be made in line with the rules and regulations.
