Argentina's coronavirus death toll passes 10,000

Argentina's government confirmed on Monday that the country has risen above 10,000 confirmed coronavirus deaths. The country's health ministry said the total now stood at 10,129 deaths, while those infected number 488,000. The South American country seemed to have the virus under control, recording only a few cases, but five months later the outlook has changed completely.

The economic crisis and quarantine weakness has caused Argentines to withdraw support of the strict measures, while the authorities have also relaxed control.
