Awarding Ceremony: Efforts for reading habit promotion

Organized by the Tanintharyi Regional Government, the Information and Public Relations Department and the Basic Education Department jointly held the award ceremony of School libries development and reading habit promotion festival at the No.(4) Basic Education High School in Dawei on Thursday’s morning.

Chief Minister U Myat Ko made a speech, saying that it is needed to share the intellectual, education, knowledge and moral values to the youths who will take shoulder of the state’s duty.

To implement the future society with good attitudes, the Ministry of Information organizes the events for libraries development and reading habit promotion, with variety of activities including debates, talks and muliti-development events with the aims to develop  five strengths of youths.

During the ceremony, awards were presented to the winners at respective competitions, along with the donations of books, periodicals and cash assistance.
