The Associated Press and other media said a baby girl was delivered from the womb of a Palestinian woman killed during Israeli air strikes in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

The woman was reportedly dead when she was carried to a hospital. Medical workers performed an emergency cesarean section on her, and saved the baby. The baby was in stable condition, but weighed only 1.4 kilograms. The strikes from Saturday through Sunday killed 22 people, including 18 children and the 30-week pregnant woman.
