On Thursday, December 1, 2022, United States President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden hosted French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron to the White House for an official State Dinner in their honor.

This marks the first official State Dinner for the Bidens, which consisted of around 340 guests. The White House was decorated for the holiday season in the days leading up to the dinner.

The State Dinner comes in the middle of the Macrons three day stay in the United States. Over the course of those three days President Macron visited the NASA headquarters and Capitol Hill, where he met with members of Congress and the Biden administration. The Macrons will end their visit in New Orleans.
