Bilateral Cooperation: 6th Myanmar-India Air Force Dialogue

An Indian delegation led by Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Intelligence), Air Vice Marshal Ichettira Iyappa Kuttappa VM VSM arrived Nay Pyi Taw on 13th of May to attend the 6th Myanmar-India Air Force Dialogue.

On the 14th, the 6th Myanmar-India Air Force Dialogue took pace at Nay Pyi Taw Airbase. The Commandant of Western Air Command and the Indian Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Intelligence) delivered opening speeches respectively. It was followed by a clarification of decisions made in the 5th India-Myanmar Air Force Dialogue and work implementations. Then, the representatives from India and Myanmar Air Forces made sector-wise discussions.

On the 15th, the Indian delegation visited famous destinations in Nay Pyi Taw including Defence Services Museum, Memorial to the Fallen Heroes and Gems Museum. They also paid homage to Uppatasanti Pagoda and Maravijaya Buddha Image.

On 16th of May, the India delegation took a tour in Yangon, visiting the Ground Training Base and  the Hangar (1) as well as Bogyoke Market. The delegation also paid homage to the Shwedagon Pagoda. The Indian delegation led by Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Intelligence), Air Vice Marshal Ichettira Iyappa Kuttappa VM VSM left Yangon for India on Friday morning.
