Chaos as beer truck overturns on highway in Chile

There were chaotic scenes on a highway in Santiago on Friday after a truck carrying 18 tons of beer overturned, spilling most of its cargo. Police in the Chilean capital said it appeared that the driver of the truck lost control after carrying out a wrong manoeuvre after being overtaken by another vehicle.

The highway was covered in boxes and cans of beer. Other drivers and local people were then soon on the scene to help them to a free drinking. No one was injured in the accident and no arrests were reported.
