Child Rights and Elder Affairs : MoSWRR Union Minister attends committees’ meetings

The National Committee for Child Rights held its meeting 1/2023 at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement on Wednesday and it was attended by Chairman of the Committee Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win.

At the meeting, the Union Minister made an opening speech saying that the analyzing and findings about the childcare activities in charity centers and the strategy plan will be implemented in accordance with the suggestions. The case management system (CMIS Software) was developed in 2021 to help and connect the children in a timely manner and the use started on 18th May 2023, he added.

Then, secretary of the committee reported the working activities for the rights of the children and Chairman of the committee made a conclusion. On the same day, the 7th meeting of the Myanmar Elder Affairs Committee was held at the Ministry and attended by Chairperson of the Committee Union Minister Dr. Soe Win. 

There, the Union Minister stressed that 49 district-level and 156 township-level committees on the elder affairs to support and care for the elder persons have been established, and urged attendees to continue establishment of committees. Then, secretary of the Committee reported their working activities related to promotion of elder life, and suggestions were made by the attendees.
