Commemorative Ceremonies: Honoring the Police Force and paying respect to elders

On Sunday, Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko participated in a ceremony to commemorate the 59th anniversary of Myanmar Police Force Day in Dawei.

During his speech, the Chief Minister urged members of the police force to uphold the rules and regulations while safeguarding community peace, tranquility, and the rule of law, emphasizing the importance of being reliable and earning the respect of all citizens.

Subsequently, Police Brig-Gen KhinKyaw, the Head of the Regional Police Force, read out a message from the Chief of the Myanmar Police Force. The ceremony also included the presentation of outstanding awards to those who had excelled in the performance of their duties.

Following this, the Chief Minister attended a ceremony commemorating the International Day of Older Persons and delivered a speech. He stressed the significance of creating opportunities for older individuals to contribute to nation-building efforts by sharing their lifelong experiences with the younger generation. The event concluded with the presentation of cash and offerings to the elderly attendees. Additionally, the Public Health Department provided healthcare services to the elderly during the ceremony.
