Container freight train service promotes Viet Nam-China trade

According to statistics from the General Department of Viet Nam Customs, by the end of August 2023, import-export turnover between Vietnam and China reached 105.45 billion USD.

As China is Viet Nam's largest trading market, effective cooperation mechanisms between the two countries, the improvement of logistics infrastructure, and the growth of international freight transportation by rail between Vietnam and China play an important role in ensuring trade, especially for agricultural products. There are nearly 1.2 million tons of imported and exported goods using the intermodal rail system annually from Viet Nam to China or through China to European countries.
