COVID-19 Update: 390 new cases reported on October 4

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 390 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 12,198 patients within 24 hours.

At the time of the report, there are two patients who died due to the disease while 273 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 624,682 with 19,463 deaths and 598,994 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Russian Federation, Turkiye and Spain according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:59 pm CEST, 4 October 2022, there have been over 615 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.52 million deaths.
