Baoding City in north China's Hebei Province has been sparing no efforts to restore electric power so that residents can resume normal life as soon as possible.

Persistent heavy rains brought by Typhoon Doksuri have triggered devastating floods across north China. In Baoding, the storms not only damaged the roads and cut off telecommunication in some villages, but also caused power failures.

In the city's Laiyuan County, 14 towns and 163 villages were without electricity, 82 villages had no telecommunication, and the traffic of 75 villages was cut off. To minimize the impacts of power failure, the local power department has organized teams of mechanics to make urgent repairs on damaged electric facilities.

The State Grid Corporation of China has dispatched emergency generator cars from other provinces to support Hebei. In addition, the local authorities have formed 306 rescue teams and dispatched large machinery to clean the roads.
