Emma Stone wins best actress Oscar for 'Poor Things'

The 96th Academy Awards ceremony presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences took place on Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

The nominations were announced on 23rd January 2024. Oppenheimer led with 13 nominations, followed by Poor things and Killers of the Flower Moon with 11 and 10, respectively.Emma Stone took home the Oscar for best actress for her risky, no-holds barred female take on the Frankenstein myth in "Poor Things”.
