The top and leading companies from Thailand’s film industry are here to showcase and work together and strengthen relations and networking with Myanmar. We expect great cooperation between the two countries to produce international quality films.”

Director, Myanmar Motion Picture Development Division, Thein Naing said “We hope this will bring more improvement and cooperation between the two countries. Myanmar and Thailand have great cooperation in film industry and have seen great achievement. We will continue to provide support for the development of Myanmar’s film industry, like reducing location fee for shooting.”

Industry experts welcomed the event as they called for the ways to grab an opportunity from the business matching.

Director, Aung Ko Latt said “Now, we do see enormous production but we do need to improve a lot for the industry’s development. We need to cooperate and connect international communities to improve our skills and technology and to expand distribution network. We also need to work to produce international quality films. It’s important to find opportunity from this kind of business matching to develop our film industry.”

Thai film industry players were pleased with the development of Myanmar film industry and looked for more cooperation.

I’m very pleased and surprised to see significant development of Myanmar’s film industry in a short period. But, there are some left to improve especially in post production. So we are here to cooperate and improve the quality of the industry. And we hope to see more networking and cooperation in the future.”

“Thai-Myanmar Business matching on Film Industry 2019” is the third event in Myanmar - departmental officials, entrepreneurs, directors, artistes and industry players joined the event.
