First mpox vaccines due in DR Congo on September 5th

The first delivery of doses of mpox vaccines will arrive in the Democratic Republic of Congo on 5th September, WHO Director-General Tedros said during a press conference in Geneva.

He also commented on the latest figures of the cholera epidemic, saying deaths surged by 71 percent compared with 2022. Africa CDC confirmed that another flight carrying the rest of the 200,000 jabs is scheduled to arrive before the end of the week.
