HK celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival with 1st 'fire dragon dance' in 4 years

People in Hong Kong were finally able to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with the traditional "fire dragon dance" after a four-year hiatus. The annual dragon dance event has a history of more than 100 years.

It was originally believed that the dance would ward off plagues, but it has been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event began on Friday night. Dozens of people ran through the street carrying the dragon, sending smoke and sparks throughout the area.
