HRD Indicators: Ministry of Labour organizes a workshop

The Ministry of Labour organized a workshop on human resource development (HRD) indicators in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday through conferencing.

At the event, Union Minister for Labour U Myint Kyaing gave a speech, saying that as a result of the Human Resource Development Indicators for the population and development planning implementation plan which has been implemented since 1995, the Directorate of Labor has been publishing the Human Development Indicators Manual since 1997 and the 21st edition has been published by 2021.

In regard with HRD indicators, the respective ministries are collecting statistics and comprehensive indicators for all sectors and the various statistical units in the ministries are working to develop the National Statistical System.

Qualified national accounting system planners, private entrepreneurs and all socio-economic researchers will be available accurate data to consider when formulating policies.

According to human resource development indicators project, the Ministry is performing as the contact ministry. 2 groups with 45 departments from 21 Ministries are implementing the tasks cooperation with task force members and experts.

The Union Minister called for the ministries and departments that are related with indicators to collect carefully statistics of the ministry.

The departmental officials and attendees who joined the workshop online discussed applying the indicators including in HRD Indicators Manual in the practical field, difficulties that are faced in compiling the data and future plans for publishing 2020-2021 HRD indicators manual.
