Hundreds of drones work to protect crops from ‘heatstroke’ in Jiangxi

Agricultural drones were used in Nanchang of China’s Jiangxi Province to spray insecticides and foliar fertilizers on crops to protect them from summer heat so as to ensure the autumn harvest.
There are more hot days in Jiangxi in August this year, according to the local meteorological department.Guided by agricultural technicians, local farmers have used agricultural drones to carry out water and fertilizer management and disease and pest control. One drone can finishabout 66.7 hectares a day.There are more than 160 square kilometers of paddy fields in Nanchang’s Xinjian District, and 330 agricultural drones were organized locally to carry out pest and drought prevention.
