Indonesia and US to strengthen ties

Indonesia Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto held a meeting with the US Ambassador to Indonesia, Kamala Shirin Lakhdir at the office in Jakarta on Thursday. The meeting discussed efforts to strengthen collaboration between the two countries.

In the meeting, Prabowo said  the currently a total of nine Indonesian military cadets are studying at the United States Naval Academy,  United States Air Force Academy and United States Military Academy. He also said cooperation between Indonesia and the US in Education sector has been established since 1967. Therefore, he emphasized his plan to enhance cooperation between the two countries, especially in Defense sector.
