Inspection Tour: MOI Union Minister inspects garment factories

Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than visited No.8 Garment Factory in PyawBwe Township of Mandalay Region on Saturday. The Factory Manager reported on work undertakings, installation of machinery, operation process and future plans.
The Union Minister explained the factory upgrading works for producing value added cotton wares. He also instructed to boost production, to carry out repair works for the machinery and to be cautious for safety measures. He then took a tour of the factory, inspecting the installation of the factory, production process of cotton thread and cotton grinding machine.
The Union Minister and party later proceeded to No.8 Branch Garment Factory in Yamethin and gave instructions to draft the project plans ad business plans for work undertakings, timely distribution of consignment orders from the ministries, and conducting training for turning out the skilled mechanics. The Union Minister then observed the operation process of the factory.
