KIA, KPDF attack civilians : Monks, novices, civilians died by attack

A rocket shell fired by KIA and KPDF terrorists fell and exploded in Dhamma Pala Lepaw monastery in Myoma ward of Bhamo Township in Kachin State on Monday.

Two monks passed away, and three monks, three novices and three civilians were injured. KIA and KPDF terrorists attacked such non-military targets such as departmental buildings and houses using heavy weapons and rockets in Bhamo township.

A shell fell on the Myahninsi monastic building of Dhamma Pala Lepaw monastery in Monday afternoon, and two monks were hit and died, whereas three monks, three novices and three civilians were injured. They were taken to Bhamo People’s Hospital for medical treatment. KIA and KPDF terrorists brutally launched attacks in towns and villages using heavy weapons and rockets.

They also destroyed religious buildings, departmental buildings, houses and schools and caused heavy impacts on the lives of people. The locals strongly condemn their actions. Security force members accelerated security measures to restore the State’s stability, as well as the lives and prosperities of the people.
