Meeting with private school owners: Kachin State CM attended and gave a speech

The meeting with the private school owners in Kachin State and the meeting of Region Supervisory Body were held at No (1) Basic Education High School in Myitkyina Township in the morning on 13th August and attended and given remark by the State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan.

In his remark, Chief Minister said that the State Administration Council promulgated Private Education Law on 12th of May, 2023 under Section-419 of the Constitution and the Kachin State Private Schools Supervisory Body has been formed. Therefore, it’s needed to comply with the laws and by-laws enacted by the Ministry of Education as well as the directive and suggestions of the Department. And under the leading of school owners and members of supervisory body, all are urged to emphasize to nurture the youth to be the ones who have the patriotic spirit and excellent ones in multiple sectors, sports, development of youth sector and higher passing rate of matriculation examination.

Next, the Rector of Myitkyina University and a principal of private school clarified the status of complying with the directives and inspection and suggestions of Region supervisory body.

The Chief Minister gave a speech of conclusion regarding with the fulfilling requirements in the process of teaching of the private school and procedures of establishing private school. Then, the Chief Minister, viewed round the educational exhibition booths displayed by the private schools.

The Chief minister together with the Chief Justice of State High Court and State Ministers attended the honoring ceremony of General Administration Department Football team which won the championship trophy of State Chief Minister’s trophy Inter-Ministerial (Men) Football competition and gave words of honor to the GAD Football Team in the evening on 12th August.

Then, the football team was awarded with 5 million Kyats by the Chief Minister, 3 million Kyats by the State Sports and Physical Education Department, cash award by the Chairman and officials of State Fuel storage and distribution Committee, team administrator expressed words of thank and dinner was enjoyed together with the football players, officers and staff members, it’s reported.
