NASA rolled out its rocket Thursday for Artemis 1 - the first uncrewed flight test for advanced lunar exploration and beyond. Using the world's most powerful rocket, Space Launch System (SLS), spacecraft Orion will be launched with the aim to orbit the moon further than its 'twin sister' Apollo.

This is the first of three components; Artemis 2 will take astronauts on a lunar orbit and Artemis 3 to land on the moon. Artemis 3 intends on landing the first woman and person of colour on the moon. Apollo 17 was the last moon walk almost 50 years ago.
